How to Request Deletion of Your Data

Summary

You have the right to request the complete deletion of your personal data stored by Kodac Checkout at any time, as provided under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD) (Law 13.709/2018) and the GDPR.

Option 1 — Delete It Yourself from the Dashboard

  1. Log in at app.kodac.io
  2. Go to Account Settings
  3. Click Delete My Account
  4. Confirm with your password
  5. Your account and all associated data will be deleted within 30 days

Option 2 — Request by Email

Send an email to contact@kodac.io with the subject "Data Deletion Request" and include:

  • Email address registered on your Kodac account
  • Full name
  • (Optional) Reason for deletion

We will respond within 5 business days confirming that the deletion has been processed.

Option 3 — Revoke Facebook Permission

If you only want to revoke Kodac's access to your Meta data (Facebook Ads, Pixel, Business Manager) without deleting your Kodac account:

  1. Go to facebook.com/settings → Business Integrations
  2. Find Kodac Checkout in the list
  3. Click View and edit → Remove

After revocation, we automatically delete the associated tokens, ad_account_ids, and spend data within 24 hours.

What Gets Deleted

  • Your account data (name, email, photo)
  • OAuth tokens (Shopify, Meta, Google)
  • Store settings, products, costs
  • Order history processed by Kodac
  • CAPI event logs
  • Ad spend data (ads_daily_spend)

What Is NOT Deleted (Due to Legal Requirements)

Some data must be retained for up to 5 years to comply with Brazilian tax and accounting regulations:

  • Issued invoices
  • Financial transaction records (plan charges and refunds)
  • Security audit logs (access, password changes)

This data is kept in anonymized form whenever possible and is automatically deleted once the legal retention period ends.

Confirmation

After we process your request, you will receive a confirmation email with:

  • Effective date of deletion
  • Summary list of what was deleted
  • Confirmation code (in case you need to provide proof to Meta or regulatory authorities)
